A lot of people get confused when it comes to selecting a keyword because a lot of confusion is being created in the SEO world.
Being
short SEO stunt, here we go:
1. Google Adsense:
Find informational keywords if you want to run ads on Google Adsense. For
example, how to install Windows 10. These are the keywords that provide
information on a specific topic.
2. Affiliate Marketing: Find transactional
keywords if you want to run an affiliate site. These are the keywords that are
used to buy a specific thing. For example, cheap iPhone 7s online, buy iPhone
7s in Pakistan etc.
3. Time Wasting: If you're working on
navigational keywords, you're totally wasting your time because such keywords
have no use. For example, if you find a keyword like "Gmail Sign Out"
it has 348,000 search volume per month, but it has no competition. Check here
the competition via Ahref at
Now what do you think if you write a detailed
article, people would love to read about that? Their intent is just to log out.
They would click on the first result.
The same goes when you find a keyword
"Facebook Login," people want to log in, they would never open the
site that exists even at the 3rd spot.
The same goes for the keyword "new york
to Chicago" that has 8,000 searches, you think if you write an article on
it, you will rank? It has zero competition
Of course, you should never target regardless how much easy it is, and CPC and the search per month volume.
